Topic/Focus: Las direcciones en la ciudad

Description:
First five minutes: Greetings and going over rules (we will listen to one another; each child will mute their microphone until her/his name is called to speak).
Activity 1 (10 minutes): Vocabulary Review - Review Document Cómo indicar direcciones en la ciudad - we will go over key vocabulary in the sheet as well as the differences between informal (tú) and formal (Ud.)
Activity 2: Direcciones (15 minutes) - Using the Ficha Ciudad Map, I will assign each child a location (e.g. ‘cine’, ‘peluqueria’, ‘universidad’). I will ask them each to write down the answer to the question ¿Cómo se va hasta’ (to their respective locations), using the Plaza as a starting point. Before we do this, I will use the ‘farmacia’ as an example. I will call on each to share their answers with the group. Time permitting, I will ask each one to tell the group how to reach another location.
Read - Inés del Reves (PDF) (10 minutes) - I will read the book Inés del Revés
Comprehension questions (5 minutes) - I will ask each of them a question about the book
Al Reves Activity: (10 minutes): I will ask them to look at their directions again and write them ‘al revés’ (i.e. backwards), from their starting point to the Plaza. We will share and discuss.
